Coloured Fleeces in Demand

26 Dec
Naturally coloured fleeces have never been more popular and we have a great choice waiting on our shelves for you to choose from. “Black” wools are, in fact, a blend of black, grey or moorit, and white. Black Leicester Longwool, Black Bluefaced Leicester, Hebridean and Shetland are examples. Then we have shades of moorit, from dark to pale fawn from Castlemilk Moorit, many types of Shetland and Soay. The Herdwick fleece is a mixture of greys from pale to quite dark.
Have a look at “Our Sheep”  to discover the different sheep breeds native to the British Isles and how their wool is used,

Best Wishes for a Happy and Peaceful New Year from the Wool Initiative.
